The Nods Theatre Company presents JB Priestley’s classic thriller

An Inspector Calls

This highly acclaimed drama takes place in 1912, the week after the Titanic set sail on its disastrous voyage.

Social climber Arthur Birling is celebrating the engagement of his daughter Sheila to the industrialist Gerald Croft *

Aware that his daughter is Croft's social inferior, Birling hopes that the hint of a knighthood will impress Gerald's family and anticipates the close co-operation of their business affairs.

The contented but tense mood of the family gathering is interrupted by the appearance of an inspector whose questioning uncovers disastrous links involving the whole family to the death of a mill girl and the sinking of their hopes and aspirations.
